Privacy Notice
How we look after the information you share with Flour & Ink.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Who we are
Jennifer Caine, trading as Flour & Ink, is responsible for the personal information described here. For questions about your information, email hello@flourandink.co.uk.
Our correspondence address is 105–107 Townsend Lane, Liverpool, L6 0AY, United Kingdom. This address is for correspondence only. We work remotely; this is not an office or premises open to visitors.
What information we use
If you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message. If we work together, we may also use your organisation and contact details, project information and billing records. The website hosting service may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and protect the site. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.
Why we use it
We use your contact details and message to answer your enquiry and discuss possible work. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact the business. For an individual client, we use information needed to provide the agreed services under our contract. Where a client is an organisation, we use its representatives’ contact and project information for our legitimate interest in delivering the work and maintaining the relationship. We retain accounting and tax records to meet legal obligations. The hosting service processes technical data for our legitimate interest in making the website available and secure.
Contacting us does not sign you up to a marketing mailing list.
Who receives it
Our website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. Our business email is provided by 365i; messages to hello@flourandink.co.uk are forwarded to a Google Gmail inbox. We use Google Drive to organise client work and Monzo Business for business banking and payment records. These services handle the information needed for those purposes. We may share information with professional advisers or authorities where necessary or required by law. We do not sell personal information.
Information processed outside the UK
Some providers may process information outside the UK. OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites data processing agreement for individual accounts provides for UK website data to be processed under standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. 365i says it stores customer data in the EEA, uses 20i for mailbox data and may use providers outside the EEA. Google describes its international transfer frameworks. We do not assume that all information stays in the UK.
How long we keep it
We delete enquiries that do not lead to work within 12 months of the last contact, unless we have a specific reason to keep them longer. We keep client project records for up to six years after our last work together, unless a live dispute, contract term or legal obligation calls for a different period. We keep tax and accounting records for at least five years after the 31 January Self Assessment submission deadline for the relevant tax year, and longer if HMRC requires it. We review records and securely remove what we no longer need.
Website technology
These pages do not include a contact form, advertising pixels, analytics scripts or third-party font requests. The contact buttons open your email application. The site code does not set cookies or use browser storage. Our animation script only reveals the logo and page sections; it does not track visitors. Google Analytics is not enabled. See our Cookie Policy for more information. The hosting service may use essential technology and technical logs to deliver and protect the site.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your personal information, ask us to correct it, and in some circumstances ask us to erase or restrict it, object to how we use it, or receive a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first at hello@flourandink.co.uk if you would like to exercise a right or ask a question.
